The set of DS-1H18 baluns allows for the transmission of a video signal from one source via a twisted pair cable. Thanks to the small size of the baluns and combination with BNC plugs there are no problems with direct connections to BNC sockets of DVRs, even when they are densely packed.
The balun matches the impedance of the unbalanced 75-ohm output/input with the 100-ohm impedance of the balanced line, and vice versa. In the case of a UTP/FTP cat. 5 cables, the transmission line can reach 150 meters (signals from HD-TVI, HDCVI, and AHD cameras) or 400 meters (signals from CVBS cameras).
The set is compatible with PoC (Power over Coax) systems.
The installer should pay attention to connecting the appropriate leads to the correct terminals: (+) to (+) and (-) to (-). Improper connection will cause interference.
